You can also ask Neya for help finding the right group, person or business. If you want, Neya will introduce you to them and stay in the conversation to help you feel safe and supported. As Neya gets to know you, it can suggest ways that you might like to engage more in your community: people you can help, groups you can join, events you might like.

Who is behind Neya?

We're three friends. Rob, Harry and Josh. We all care deeply about helping our neighbourhoods thrive and making the world we want our children to grow up in. We've also received funding from some brilliant 'angel' investors who share our mission. This lets us focus on building an amazing experience for you while we get the scale we need to serve our business customer. Neya is all about connection. Sometimes the most valuable connections are to local businesses rather than people or community groups. Whenever a business pays to be suggested for one of your requests, Neya makes this very clear to you. We get paid when you choose to talk to them, so we're incentivised only to suggest businesses which are actively helpful to you. We never sell your data, and we never share it with anyone without your clear consent.

Neya combines the best of all these platforms, allowing you to find small groups of people near you for whatever you're trying to achieve, while keeping you safe and protecting your privacy. There is no noisy newsfeed or giant 'communities'. Just small, focused local chats, hosted by Neya to keep everyone safe.

Neya is building a community of real people who want to help others living close to them. You'll always know who you're talking to, and we'll never share your information without permission. We ask people for their names and location to join the community and do not allow anonymous users. When you make a connection, Neya hosts the conversation and ensures it stays safe and relevant to the reason you connected. We use a mix of AI moderation and human oversight to make sure conversations stay civil and share the spirit of Neya. You should always keep safe online by only sharing information that you're happy being public, stopping conversations if you're uncomfortable, and meeting in safe locations if you choose to meet in real life.

Neya helps our neighbourhoods live more gently on the planet: - Less waste: borrow or lend instead of buying new - Less over-consumption: share resources and co-buy what we need - Less travel: find the help and services you need nearby, without long journeys - Support local: shift spending to local businesses and supply chains - Stronger community: neighbours helping neighbours creates a natural "circular economy" - Community action: Neya makes it easy to organise and create the change we want But of course, AI takes energy to run. We're careful to keep using the lightest models we can for each use, and are monitoring carefully to ensure the benefits of using Neya far outweigh the footprint. The use of AI is growing quickly. We think it's vital that's used for good.
