Question 1

What is Neya?

Accepted Answer

Neya finds people near you who want to do the same things you do, then makes the plans happen. Padel on a Tuesday, a Sunday hike, a pub quiz with people from round the corner. You say what you're up for, she finds the people, does the organising, and you turn up.

Question 2

Is it for making friends?

Accepted Answer

It's for doing things you enjoy with people nearby, and friendships tend to follow. Turn up to the same Sunday walk a few times and you'll see.

Question 3

Is Neya near me?

Accepted Answer

Neya's running in Oxfordshire and South London, with more on the way. Sign up and she'll show you what's happening near you. If it's quiet where you live, she'll tell you.

Question 4

What's it like going to a plan?

Accepted Answer

A few people, somewhere public, doing something you all fancy. You'll see who's going before you say yes, and Neya reminds you before with the time and place. Some plans have a host who'll be there first to say hello. If not, pop a message in the plan's chat when you arrive.

Question 5

What if I can't make it?

Accepted Answer

Showing up is what makes this community work. Something’s come up? Tell Neya at least 24 hours before. Later than that, or a no-show, may cost £3. That way “I’m coming” means something to the other people who do show. Plans that change or get called off never cost you anything, and if something serious came up, a person on our team will hear you out.

Question 6

Will I like the people I meet?

Accepted Answer

Chances are you will, because you'll already have something in common. No personality quizzes because we think the best way to click with people is to do something you both love. After every plan, Neya asks who you'd like to see again, so she keeps bringing you together with people you got on with, and introduces you to new ones.

Question 7

Is it safe?

Accepted Answer

Everyone on Neya is 18 or over and has verified their phone number. Plans are small groups in public places, and you can see who's going before you say yes. You can block or report anyone in a few taps, and a person on our team looks at every report. Do what you'd do meeting anyone new: meet in public, tell a friend where you're going and leave whenever you like. In an emergency, call 999. Our [Community Guidelines](/community-guidelines) have more.

Question 8

What do you do with my data?

Accepted Answer

We use it to find you people to do things with, and make plans happen. We never sell your data and don’t carry advertising. Our [Privacy Policy](/privacy-policy) has all the details.

Question 9

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Where membership applies, you can try Neya free for 14 days, then it's £7.99 a month (less than £2 a week). Anything at the plan itself, like a coffee, a pint or a court booking, you pay for yourself.

Question 10

Can I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Any time, in a couple of taps. And if Neya isn't for you, ask within 14 days of your first payment and we'll give you your money back. No reason needed.
